Dr Steven Le Comber
My work covers a wide range of subjects within evolutionary biology, including studies of spatial patterns in biology, notably in epidemiology and invasive species biology, and mathematical and computer models of molecular evolution. Much of my current work focusses on geographic profiling, a statistical technique originally developed in criminology to prioritise large lists of suspects in cases of serial crime.
Dr Alan Mcelligott
My research focuses on understanding how evolution, ecology and domestication have shaped the social behaviour, cognition and vocal communication of large mammals, particularly ungulates. The current main model species for our research are goats, cattle and fallow deer. I produce knowledge that is relevant to animal behaviour, behavioural ecology, as well as animal husbandry and welfare.
